Hello, My name is Michelle; I am a mother of 3 children; 13 year old daughter, 10 year

Hello,
My name is Michelle; I am a mother of 3 children; 13 year old daughter, 10 year old son and an 8 year old daughter. I have always been a hard worker and supported my family. I was even able to move my mom in with me from out of state to take care of her once she was diagnosed with Brain Cancer. I am now struggling to survive and take care of my family. Due to an unforeseen illness last December I lost my job, and was admitted to the hospital for an emergency surgery to remove a 19 pound cyst and my right ovary which ruptured. I was diagnosis with PID (pelvic inflammatory disease) and Endometriosis (an auto immune disease) I was on bed rest for 3 months following the surgery and unable to return to work for an additional 4 months until being released by my doctor the middle of July. I do not qualify for unemployment since it was a medical condition which caused me to not be able to work. I applied for short term disability but since the doctor stated I would only be out of work for 7 months the social security office denied my request. I applied for assistance with the state of Nevada and was approved for medical and food stamps for myself and my children for 6 months starting March 1, 2012 through August 1, 2012. I have also contacted the local churches, United Way, Help of Southern Nevada, City of Las Vegas and Clark County Social Services for food boxes, energy assistance and rental assistance. I was only given food boxes since my address is not considered city limits. I have started to look for employment again and have emailed resumes to all job postings that I am qualified for I have tried to get loans from family and friends, but they’re unable to since they’re all living pay check to pay check. I have spent all my savings and have sold everything worth value in our home. I have hundreds of applications in with employers, and I am even attending a job search program through the State of Nevada hoping to gain employment. But, I feel that everywhere I turn a door is slammed in my face! Thankfully my landlord had worked with me by allowing me to pay rent by the 10th each month, until July. He also waited until the 30th day to file an eviction to give us a little more time because the condition that my mother is in. I received an eviction notice and filed a motion to stay until September 5, 2012 So that I can get my children enrolled into school and hopefully find a job, and at least a temporary place to stay. Even if it may be a hotel until I can be fully self supportive again. I’m currently awaiting a letter from the judge to see if he will grant us to stay. Our gas has already been shut off and our electricity is going to be cut off for the second time on the 21st. Please I am desperate for any kind of assistance anyone out there can give. I will need to rent a truck to put our belongings into storage. School starts in a week and I haven't been able to purchase anything at all for them. They are good kids and have survived some very difficult hardships. We would truly be blessed and very grateful for any type of help and assistance anyone could provide to me, my children and my mother. Thank you for taking the time to read my post and consider helping us.
Sincerely, Michelle.
